Over time, public health emergency such as the corona virus outbreak poses huge socioeconomic burden on individuals,
families and nations. Evidence shows that women, girls and children are disproportionately affected in multiple ways.
This extends to food security and nutrition, sexual and reproductive health care, education, livelihood and protection.
Even after the crisis is contained, women and girls may continue to suffer from ill- effects for years to come.
In settings where women are not directly affected, they are faced with the huge domestic burden of providing care for the
sick, the aged and the children. This imparts on their productive roles and contribution to raising healthy communities.
In addressing some of these challenges Gendermobile launched a food Hub model in Ekiti State to cater for vulnerable women and
children in this period of Lockdown basically caused by the spread of the Coronavirus otherwise known as "Covid-19".
This model leverages technology in form of an helpline ( 07000000002) and other channels below to connect donors of cash, food items and recipients of the items on a need basis.
With our community volunteer-base system, we are ready to serve you.
